Mica Scrap
Mica scrap is a byproduct collected from mica mining operations. Unlike sheet mica, it is not suitable for direct use due to its irregular size or lower quality.
The material is usually screened through ½ square inch mesh, giving an average size range of 12 mm to 50 mm, with thickness varying between 0.15 mm and 5 mm.
For best applications, mica scrap should be clean, dry, and firm, free from mineral and non-mineral impurities such as quartz, feldspar, garnet, tourmaline, stones, clay, sand, mud stains, biotite mica, and other foreign particles like straw, wood, or iron traces.
Applications
Today, mica scrap is primarily processed into mica paper, which is further used in the production of mica sheets and mica tapes.
Packaging
We supply mica scrap in durable HDPE bags of 50 kg each, or in customized packing as per buyer requirements.
